Yes. Chinese authorities require the deceased to be placed in a hermetically sealed coffin that meets international aviation standards. Embalming is generally mandatory for long-distance transportation, and Harmony International ensures all requirements are met in accordance with both UK and Chinese regulations.
Upon arrival, human remains must go through customs clearance, usually at airports such as Beijing Capital International Airport or Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Harmony International arranges all customs paperwork and coordinates directly with Chinese authorities to ensure a smooth and respectful process.

When a loved one dies outside of their country of residence, it can be a confusing and complicated situation, however rest assured we will be by your side throughout and liaise with all relevant parties to gather all the relevant documentation required to arrange flights back to the UK.
Once back in the UK we will arrange the transfer of your loved one from the airport to our care, and from there we can begin making funeral arrangement plans.
